Former RealNetworks boss Rob Glaser has been appointed as a partner at big VC firm Accel Partners, focusing on digital media technology, social media and mobile services. Glaser stepped down as Real CEO earlier this year, but remains its chairman. “At this stage, I’m not looking to pick one thing and jump on it and have it be the monolithic thing I might do,” he tells PaidContent. Glaser as a VC could be an opportunity for digital music startups, given his knowledge of the market.
