Pepsi has launched a new iPhone social location app called Pepsi Loot, which rewards people with free song downloads if they check-in at ‘Pop Spots’ – restaurants that sell Pepsi. The app also offers music videos from artists whose music is part of the scheme. Three check-ins gets you a free download. The news comes just days after Universal Music Group inked its own free MP3s offer with Loopt Star, another new social location app.
