MTV subsidiary Harmonix is broadening out its musical repertoire beyond guitar, bass’n’drums. Having already hinted that Rock Band 3 will include keyboards, now it’s sparked rumours of an entirely new game franchise based around dance music and therefore dancing. According to GameInformer, the game may work with Microsoft’s upcoming Natal gesture-detection technology, and will capitalise on a series of recent licensing deals signed by Harmonix for dance tunes that wouldn’t really work in Rock Band.
