Social location mobile app Buzzd has just been updated with a new version that pulls in data from Twitter, Foursquare, Gowalla, Brightkite, Loopt, Yelp and Whrrl. The idea is to create a real-time index of ‘buzzing places’ in any city, based on the number of people checking-in there at any one time. The service currently works in the US, Canada and the UK. The new version is available for iPhone and BlackBerry smartphones.
