According to an article in the Times based on data from ScreenDigest, DVDs still rule the roost in Britain, with GBP £2 billion spent last year on the standard discs compared to just £140.8 million on Blu-Ray. After four years of Blu-Ray being available, only one in twenty films are available as Blu-Ray; by comparison, within four years of the DVD’s launch, one in five movies were available in the DVD format.
