Despite boasting about not using computers, Simon Cowell last year bemoaned the fact that videogame manufacturers hadn’t been beating down his door to make X Factor console games. “X Factor should have been the initial vehicle to have Activision come to us and say…can you help launch Guitar Hero?” When reminded that X Factor doesn’t contain guitars, Cowell replied: “I’d put guitars on my show to get Guitar Hero”. Well now Cowell is getting his way as TV company FremantleMedia is teaming up with games studio Deep Silver to make an X Factor game for the Wii, PS3 and XBox 360 in time for Christmas.
