Aviary’s technology is based around browser-based music creation, and has just launched its Music Creator tool. It lets people drag and drop samples and loops into an eight-bar grid with 12 available tracks. The resulting tunes can be saved and shared via MP3 download, embeddable widget, or on Facebook and Twitter. It’s been released under a Creative Commons Attribution licence, so music created using the tool can be commercially released without legal headaches.
