Console publisher Activision is making a big push to use more licensed music in its games – and not just Guitar Hero and DJ Hero. Pharrell Williams is overseeing the soundtrack for the publisher’s upcoming True Crime: Hong Kong game, for example, while songs from Eminem’s new Recovery album will feature in Call of Duty: Black Ops. Meanwhile, on the Guitar Hero side of things, Soundgarden will debut a new track in the next Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock game.
