UK firm Playdio has launched in beta with what it claims is the world’s first ‘fully interactive on-demand radio service’. As we explained before, its big idea is to get DJs to compile Spotify playlists, with spoken-word tracks for their bits. People then listen to the playlists, with the DJs getting paid a per-stream rate for the speaky bits, as if they were artists.
