After writing about AIM boss Alison Wenham’s OBE in yesterday’s Bulletin, it was brought to our attention that producer Robin Millar also received a CBE in the Queen’s birthday honours. He’s worked with everyone from Sade, Sting and Eric Clapton through to Big Country, Randy Crawford and Everything But The Girl. However, he was also a big figure in the formation of the Music Producers Guild, has lectured in commercial music at various academic institutions, and has campaigned extensively for charities including UNHCR Geneva, Oxfam, UNICEF and Artists Against Apartheid. Congratulations to him!
