Making apps for bands is an increasingly crowded market, with Mobile Roadie, MobBase, iLike and others all touting for business. New entrant Sound Around claims to be the cheapest service, charging $14 a month to create and manage apps with music, videos, photos, tourdates, tweets and other information. The company is claiming its system is as easy as creating a MySpace page, and says it operates on a pay-as-you-go basis, so bands can cancel whenever they want to rather than being locked into an agreement.
