Sony Ericsson held an event this morning to show off its newest music handset, the Yendo. It’s Walkman-branded, scotching rumours that the handset maker was moving away from its classic music mark. The device also has a full touchscreen – the first Walkman handset to do so – with a focus on social features as well as music thanks to preloaded Facebook and Twitter apps. However, puzzlingly the device isn’t a smartphone running Android, like Sony Ericsson’s recent X10 series, but instead runs the company’s own proprietary OS. Source: Mobile Entertainment
