New iPhone app Reading Festival 2010 looks a little rough around the edges, and isn’t officially licensed by the festival’s promoters. But it’s a good sign of how festival apps are developing. Users can create their own schedules of bands to see, and browse artists’ albums on the iTunes store. It works offline – good for users who are saving battery life by turning 3G and Wi-Fi off – and offers social features including the ability to sign in via Facebook and keep tabs on friends, and check-in Foursquare style to individual sets during the festival.
