Weather Underground has launched its WunderRadio streaming radio app for Android, joining existing platforms iPhone, BlackBerry and Windows Mobile. The app costs $6.99 in the Android Market store, and sorts internet radio stations by genre, while letting users save presets of their favourites. It also includes a built-in Twitter directory to contact DJs while they’re on-air, and uses Android’s multi-tasking ability to run in the background while people use other apps. Meanwhile, Weather Underground says that the iPhone version has been downloaded by more than 400,000 people.
