Apple has sold 3 million iPads 80 days after its introduction in the US, and 25 days after the international debut of the device. Apple sold 300,000 in the US on April 3rd, and passed the one million mark on April 30th. One month later, and the total stood at two million. There are also 11,000 optimised apps available for the device, which can also run most of the 225,000 iphone apps on the App Store.
