Last night, Apple made the latest version of its iPhone OS available to iPhone and iPod touch owners. iOS 4, as it’s known, includes more than 100 new features, but the big one for music apps is multi-tasking. Apps can now run in the background for specific tasks, one of which is playing music. US online radio service Pandora has already updated its app to support the new software – unsurprising, since an early version has been shown on-stage at recent Apple keynotes. As yet, European rivals Spotify and we7 have yet to follow suit. Source: Ars Technica Source: 9 to 5 Mac
