Google has revealed that 160,000 Android smartphones are being sold every day, up from 60,000 in February, and 100,000 last month. That means nearly five million a month, showing the growing momentum of Google’s smartphone OS. The news came as Motorola and US operator Verizon Wireless unveiled the new Droid X handset.
