VEVO CEO Rio Caraeff claims the service has 50 million unique visitors a month, with 80% of its traffic coming through its YouTube channel, and 20% from elsewhere. “Our goal is to get to a balanced position fairly soon,” says Caraeff. Currently, 50% of Vevo’s audience is in North America, and 50% outside, generating around a billion streams a month split evenly between those two areas (Vevo itself isn’t available outside North America, but its YouTube channel is).
