Players’ caterwauling in Rock Band 3 won’t be as painful as in previous versions, thanks to a deal between developer Harmonix and audio signal processing firm iZotope. The new game will use the latter’s professional pitch detection and real-time pitch correction technology to tweak players’ vocals, promising to give them the same artificial boost that [insert artist name whose lawyers are probably scarier than ours here] gets on-stage without anybody knowing.
