Shinobi Ninja, the Brooklyn-based band released their own iPhone game earlier in 2010, which included songs that could be unlocked by completing the game, or by firing it up while attending gigs. Now the app has spawned a more traditional digital release, The Video Game EP. it’s a five-song bundle being sold for $5 through digital stores, the band’s own website, and social networking profiles. The original game hasn’t made a big dent in the App Store charts, but it’s one of the more inventive app-related campaigns of recent times nonetheless.
