AWAL is the latest company to launch a music analytics service, called BuzzDeck. It aims to help artists and labels track the success of their online marketing campaigns, identifying ‘buzz’ on social networks and drilling down into the demographics of fans. The service is free at its basic level, with premium elements for bigger clients. It’s already been used by a couple of major labels: Atlantic for Plan B and McLean, and Sony for Hurts and The Hoosiers.
