Google has made an additional investment into Chinese digital music firm Top100.cn, with whom it launched an ad-supported music downloads service in China in August 2008. The company hasn’t given further details, but local Chinese reports suggest it may have invested around $1 million as part of Top100’s second round of funding, with basketballer Yao Ming contributing a similar amount. Top100 now has a library of more than one million tracks according to PC World.
