Google has taken the wrappers off Google App Inventor for Android, a service that claims to let anyone create their own Android app without needing specialist programming knowledge. It’s been tested on schoolchildren and nursing students, and uses a WYSIWYG graphical interface to put ‘blocks’ of code together to make an app, then publish it on Android Market.
