Facebook’s growth appears unchecked by recent arguments over privacy. In June, the social network attracted more than 141 million unique visitors in the US alone – 11 million more than its previous record in May. Facebook’s US traffic has nearly doubled in the last year alone according to comScore’s figures, compared to relatively flat growth for Twitter and MySpace. Also interesting is the fact that Facebook isn’t that far behind Google (179m unique visitors in May) – no wonder the latter is rumoured to be working on its own social network to compete.
