A few weeks ago, Amazon’s Kindle app for iPhone and iPad got new multimedia features, including support for audio and video. Music-related books were among the first categories to benefit, with a Beatles songbook. Now Apple has followed suit with its own iBooks app for the same two devices. It now supports e-books with audio and video too. Licensing deals permitting, the changes to both apps could spur a new wave of e-books that literally come with music.
