Music metrics firm BigChampagne has launched what it’s calling the Ultimate Chart, pulling in numbers from song and album sales, radio airplay, online streams and video plays, and social network followings. The chart will be published by The Comet, the music blog launched by former Billboard editor-in-chief Tamara Conniff. There will also be an Ultimate Chart for independent and DIY artists, based on data from TuneCore, CD Baby, MySpace Music, ReverbNation, Topspin and Nimbit, among other sources.
