It’s consolidation time for the rapidly-growing social games industry, with Electronic Arts already having bought Playfish for up to $400 million last year. Now it’s the turn of one of the other big firms in the social gaming space, Playdom. It’s been snapped up by Disney for a whopping $763.2 million, although that includes a $200 million earnout clause depending on hitting cetrain targets.
