Amazon is making a bid to take its Kindle e-reader massmarket, with two new versions. The top-spec model costs $189 including a 3G connection for downloading e-books over the air. It’s 21% smaller and 15% lighter than the existing model, refreshes pages faster, and has double the storage at 4GB. Meanwhile, there’s a $139 model that’s Wi-Fi only (i.e. no 3G).
