EMI has teamed up with developer Matmi to create a new web game for Iron Maiden: The Final Frontier. It’s set in deep space to match the concept of the band’s latest album, and sees players piloting the Ed Force one space shuttle to collect the band’s equipment, which has been scattered by a nefarious bunch of space pirates. It’s not the first such game: Matmi made a game called Flight 666 for the band before, which has apparently been played 4.5 million times since its launch. The Final Frontier is playable online, but there’s a sequel which will only be available with the deluxe CD edition of the album, which comes out on 17 August.
