US festival Lollapalooza has updated its iPhone app with Facebook features, to help people find their friends. Users signing in with their Facebook ID will be able to plant a virtual flag on the venue map to show where they are, while seeing flags and messages of their friends. An interesting stat: 90% of visitors to last year’s event said they used Facebook during the festival. Also interesting is a sponsorship deal with AOL Lifestream that will see 100 acres of free Wi-Fi across the Lollapalooza site.
