UK artist Labrinth is being promoted via QR codes, which when snapped with a cameraphone, take people to the artist website. The codes will be seen in print ads and on posters, while the campaign is also being promoted on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. The campaign is the work of Syco Music, Simon Cowell’s label, in partnership with social media agency Punktilio. One issue with using QR codes, though, is that people have to download the QR code reader app before they can access the campaign – this one’s using the BeeTagg reader.
