Spotify’s SVP of strategic partnerships Paul Brown is leaving the company this week, to join a non-music-industry startup. “I wasn’t looking to leave, but this was an opportunity that came along and which I had to take,” he tells Music Week. He’ll remain on the advisory board to music marketing firm Topspin.In separate news, it’s just emerged that Napster co-founder (and now venture capitalist) Sean Parker invested €11.6 in Spotify in February this year and took a seat on the company’s board. The investment valued Spotify at €230 million. The news comes from Spotify’s annual report, filed in Luxembourg, which reveals the company’s total assets at the end of 2009 were €83.9 million.
