UK broadcaster Absolute Radio streamed 244,000 hours to mobile devices in July this year, up from 213,000 in June and 163,000 in January. However, mobile still accounts for just 2.7% of Absolute’s overall streaming hours, since it streamed 8.9 million hours overall in July – a figure that includes online and mobile. Absolute has also released stats for downloads of its iAmp application, which is available for several smartphones. The app was downloaded 350,000 times in the first half of this year, with 163,000 of those downloads – nearly half – coming from Nokia’s Ovi Store. By comparison, iPhone accounted for 119,000 downloads.
