Another interesting crossover between music and social gaming comes with Facebook game Nightclub City. It’s a music-themed game launched by Booyah, who we’ve written about in connection with its social location game MyTown. Nightclub City gets players to run their own virtual nightclub, with the twist that the music in the game is real, from emerging artists. It has 6.7 million monthly active players. But here’s the thing: Booyah says that “Artists currently involved in the game have seen more than a 1,000 percent weekly increase in “Likes” on their Facebook Pages”. One to investigate if you’re marketing new bands.
