VC firm Elevation Partners is planning to buy a “large chunk of shares” in personalised radio service Pandora. The shares would be acquired from one of the early investors in the service, and could be for a value as high as $100 million. “We’re aware that Elevation has been interested in buying Pandora shares,” confirms Pandora’s spokesperson Deborah Roth. Elevation has previously invested in Facebook, Palm and Yelp, and already has music connections thanks to its co-founder, Bono.
