Production duo Chase and Status have launched an innovative Facebook app to promote their new single ‘Let You Go’. The app is called The Patrick Chase Show, and takes the form of a spoof chatshow. However, it gets fans to sign in using Facebook Connect before watching it, which then pulls in their photo to appear in the video, as well as updates from friends which appear as ‘tweets’ during the show. It’s very clever, and ties in with a competition to get fans engaged. The campaign is the work of Mercury Records.
