Nokia has signed an exclusive deal to release an app for UK TV talent show The X Factor. What’s puzzling is the exclusivity of the deal though: there will be no official X Factor app for other smartphones like iPhone, Android and BlackBerry. An opportunity lost for the producers, given that this is the first year finalist performances will be made available on iTunes the day after episodes air – it would have been tailor-made for an iPhone app. No news on whether those songs will also be on Nokia’s music store.
