This week’s hot non-Apple gadget is Samsung’s Galaxy Tab. It’s a seven-inch tablet device running the latest version of Google’s Android operating system, with a powerful processor inside, as well as a camera, Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity and ‘hubs’ for music, media, e-books and social networking. Music Hub will apparently give “access to a wide range of music tunes”, although quite how that works and where the music comes from remains unclear. The device goes on sale in Europe later this month, with Vodafone already signed up as its first operator partner.
