Much excitement this week at the news that Snoop Dogg is to become the first hip-hop artist to have tracks available in the Rock Band game. Today, seven tracks will be made available in the store, including Drop It Like It’s Hot, Snoop’s Upside Ya Head and Tha Shiznit. “I consider myself an OG gamer, and to be chosen as the first hip hop artist to appear in Rock Band…well, it doesn’t get any better than that, ya dig?,” says Snoop in the press release. About time, we say – this was first announced 19 months ago (Bulletin, 11-Feb-09). We wonder what the delay was.
