We’ve written lots about the potential of social games for the music industry – not just for promotion, but as a new source of revenues. Great examples are still thin on the ground though. With that in mind, it’s worth having a look at a new Facebook game called Ultimate Fan, which has been launched by American Football team the New York Jets. It’s a game focusing on predictions, but with a big virtual items and gifting element to make money. It’s only just launched, but may spark some ideas for music marketers.
