NPD says 80% of early adopters – people who bought an iPad within two months of launch – are ‘very satisfied’ with Apple’s tablet, versus 65% of those who bought it later. But what’s interesting is that those early adopters are also using the device more, and for richer content. NPD claims early adopters use iPad for more than 18 hours a week, with that time increasing for a third of them. When compared to latecomers, early adopters are 44% more likely to watch YouTube videos, 50% more likely to watch films, 60% more likely to watch TV shows and 38% more likely to be reading e-books.
