It seems Apple’s Ping music social network could get Facebook features after all. The Los Angeles Times reports that the two companies’ CEOs, Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg, were spotted strolling through Palo Alto recently, after a dinner at Jobs’ house. The obvious conclusion is that the pair were trying to settle their differences over the use of Facebook Connect in Ping. When it launched, the two companies had a spat, with Facebook blocking Ping’s use of Facebook Connect after Apple refused to sign commercial terms, and Jobs complaining publicly about Facebook’s ‘onerous’ terms for such a deal. As things stand, Ping is hobbled by its lack of Facebook, as users can only add friends by searching for their email addresses or names individually.
