Music is the second most popular content category accessed by iPad owners, according to new research from Nielsen. It finds that 41% of iPad users regularly access music, behind only news (44%), and ahead of books (39%), TV shows (33%) and films (32%). The survey also found that 63% of iPad owners have downloaded a paid app, with 50% saying they’ve downloaded a paid music app. 5% say they have only ever downloaded free apps, but 9% of iPad users say they have never downloaded any apps. One last (not-so) big number: 4% of US households now own a tablet computer.
