Last week, market research firm Nielsen made waves when it claimed that 32% of iPad owners had not downloaded any apps. Unsurprising, since the data has turned out to be wildly incorrect. Nielsen has published a terse update saying that its report has “been amended to reflect updates to the percentage of iPad users in the survey downloading apps”. It’s quite a big change too: the new figures claim that only 9% of iPad owners have not downloaded any apps.
