Spotify‘s latest tactic to persuade free users to upgrade to its paid version is… a one-week trial. Free users are being given seven days of the Premium service, although they have to enter their credit card details first. If they decide to cancel during that week, they won’t be charged. The streaming music service is hoping that a week’s access to premium features like no ads, mobile access and higher quality audio will convince people that Spotify is worth paying for.
