20.5 million Android smartphones were sold in the third quarter of this year. That makes Google’s OS the second largest smartphone platform in the world, with a 25.5% market share behind only Symbian, which took a 36.6% share in Q3. iPhone took third place with a 16.7% share, followed by BlackBerry with 14.8%.
