GigsWizhas launched the latest version of its fan-demand platform, providing artists with automatic ticket sales and marketing features, as well as an incentive system to help them sell more tickets. It involves events automatically being added to bands’ GigsWiz widget, with updates and sales links then being pushed out to the artist’s Facebook and Twitter profiles at key points before a gig – for example eight days before and then the day before. Artists get one third of the 15% booking fee as a reward for using the system. There is also a points system for artists using the widget, allowing promoters to see which bands have the most potential for ticket sales.GigsWiz has been piloting ticket sales exclusively with Substance Gigs, Hot Vox, and Glasswerk in the UK and is now in talks with other promoters and bands.
