Samsung has announced that owners of its connected TVs have downloaded more than one million apps since it launched earlier this year. Not bad considering that only 200 apps are available, including Pandora, Twitter, Netflix, Hulu Plus and Blockbuster. Samsung was early into the connected TV space, although it’s now facing competition from Google TV, and Yahoo’s TV-apps platform. Apps are available through an estimated 50% of all Samsung HDTVs sold this year, so the audience is growing.Read more:
