Apple’s Ping music social network just got a bit more social, with the addition of playlists. “Start a playlist for any occasion from your Ping profile and friends can add any song on iTunes to your mix,” explains the official blurb. “Then anyone can rate it, review it, or share it with their own friends on Ping.” Playlists have been hugely popular on other music services like Spotify, so they’re a logical addition to Ping. It’s also a feature that will fit in neatly if and when Apple launches its own streaming music service, as has been rumoured. However, there’s still no news to report on any deal between Apple and Facebook, to help Ping users add their real friends on the service.
