Shazam has updated its charitable (SHAZAM)RED app with new features, including a revamped design, faster tagging, in-app videos, tag charts and easier previews and purchases of music. 20% of the purchase price still goes to AIDS charity RED. Meanwhile, SoundHound has announced that its free music identification app will now offer unlimited usage, supported by ads. Previously, it only allowed users five ‘Track IDs’ a month if they didn’t upgrade to the premium version. SoundHound says its userbase increased by 500% last year, and it’s now delivering “millions of hits” a day. Source: Music Week
